CELEBRATION OF 30 YEARS OF COMMUNITY WORK OF AID AND GRAND OPENING OF JP GLOBAL ACADEMY ON 15TH JULY 2016 @ IYYAPANTHANGAL CHENNAI

 Alternative For India Development (AID) a pan India Non-Government organisation with ideology of Late Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan has completed 30 years of community work in the states of T.Nadu, AP,Pondicherry,Bihar,Orissa, Jharkhand and W.Bengal.

On 15th July a commemorative meeting was held at the premises of JP Global Academy – Iyyapanthangal – Chennai.   In its three decades of work opening of new CBSE school is one of its important milestone.

All the members of the Trust along with Dr.K.S.Sunanda and Mrs.Shanthi Sukumar lighted the lamp for the start of the programs.

Dr.K.S.Sunanda Founder and Chairperson – AID & JPGA opened the school premises . Sprawling 25000 sq ft built up area school building with state of art facilities has been dedicated to the school.

Later Dr.K.S.Sunanda as part of the celebrations took the audience through the 3 decades’ journey of AID , stressing the fact that Education mission was one of the key missions of AID through which more than 25000 child labourers working in the sectors of coal mining, mica mining, forest produce pickers, agricultural labourers and carpet working children were educated. Curriculum suitable to them were devised. She also emphasised the main focus of JP Global Academy is to let children have their childhood, enable happy schooling, focus on knowledge building and believe in collaborative effort involving all the neighbourhood schools and preschools.

Dr.K.T.ARasu spoke about the perspectives of JP Global Academy in length.

Various key personnel of the Trust AID spoke on the long struggles and achievements of AID at the grass roots level. Shri.Ramraj Singh, Shri.Suresh Kumar, Shri.Jawahar Kacchap, Smt.Lakshmi Soren, Shri.Om Shankar Mishra, Shri.Chiranjeevi, Shri Ayyannar,Smt.Sumathi,Smt.Manjula,Smt.Shanthi,Smt.Deivayani, Shri.Deenayalan, Shri S.S. Chowdhary,  Shri.Sundar, Smt.Mekala Raghupathi and Smt.Shanthi Sukumar were some of the key players.
